Coming Back to BurgerTron 2000
Why take the time rummaging through refrigerators and cupboards for ingredients when it can all be fed through to you on a conveyor belt? Better still, what if many of these are already cooked and ready to go the moment they hit the conveyor belt? That's the idea behind the now legendary BurgerTron 2000, a device based on an alien blueprint, streamlining the fast (but good) food process for our protagonist.
Unfortunately, our hero got started with a successful restaurant only to black out, awakening in a dark alley with a bump on his head and an utter sense of confusion. He is offered the option to buy a restaurant again for just a dollar, so he jumps on this opportunity, fires up the BurgerTron 2000, and jumps right back into this colorful and crazy gastropod adventure.
What's on the Menu?
The fast and furious action that you may have experienced with the first Burger Shop is back. As a hectic time management game, this latest title sets you up with a basic restaurant and it's up to you to accommodate your customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.
So, what kind of food can you expect to serve? It may start out with relatively simple hamburgers and breakfast dishes, but you'll quickly be expanding to grilled steaks, fancy sundaes, curly fries, orange soda, and so much more.
Looking at each customer's order, it's up to you to grab the appropriate elements from the conveyor belt. For a basic cheeseburger, for instance, you'll need to grab the bottom bun, a hamburger patty, a slice of cheese, and the top bun. It doesn't matter what order you click on these. After clicking them all together, you can send the completed menu item by clicking the right mouse button.
Four Feisty Game Modes
The interface remains much the same across the four different game modes in this restaurant-themed adventure. You will be provided with the BurgerTron 2000 and, if you work hard enough, you'll also earn access to the BurgerBot helper robot as well. The game mechanic is simple, but juggling several simultaneous demands makes for quite the thrilling and heart-pumping experience.
The brunt of the action and the telling of the tale will come by way of the main Story Mode. Aside from that, you can also try your hand at the Challenge Mode, Relax Mode, or Expert Mode. These need to be unlocked by playing through the Story Mode.
A Delectable Culinary Adventure with More
With some other similar time management type games, the menu can start to look a little stagnant. You may be told simply to bring some random food to your customers. That's not the case here.
Instead, you must cater each individual dish to each individual customer. It's not just a salmon dinner. You have to grab the raw salmon, send it to the grill, retrieve the cooked salmon, and add on the side dishes specific to the customer. These may include boiled peas, dinner rolls, corn on the cob, simple garnish, and more. Each dish is unique.
For a thrilling adventure with plenty of eats, a breakneck pace, and more than your fair share of multitasking, this is the colorful diversion for you.
