Hawaiian Vacation answers the question asked by children around the world: what exactly do elves when they're not working? The simple answer is that they have fun! They leave their frosty, cold home for sunnier climates. This time around they head to Hawaii where they totally let loose. Without Santa Clause to watch over them, there's nothing stopping them from having the time of their lives - and causing a little mayhem in the process.

The Straw That Broke the Camel's Back

In The Last Insult, the elves have had it up to here (which really isn't that high up) with Santa Claus. A grumpy elf named Dingle thinks that he should be the one in charge of Christmas, and not merry ol' Saint Nick. He convinces the rest of the elves to go on strike with him. In a last ditch effort to regain control, Santa enters into a high-stakes game of bowling. The winner takes Christmas.

There's no bigger prize than arguably the biggest holiday of the year and the pressure is on, but that just makes the ridiculous premise all the more hilarious. Whether it's the elves taking a sunny vacation in Hawaii or Santa bowling his heart out to save Christmas, the Elf Bowling games are packed with laughs and you're guaranteed to have a good time.

Bowling 101

Fortunately, the bowling mechanics in both games are the same, so you'll have no trouble at all going from one game to the next.

Everything is controlled with the mouse. First, line up your shot by moving your mouse back and forth. Sliding your mouse will slide the ball. Then hold down the left mouse button. From here, moving your mouse from side to side aims your shot, while moving it back and forth adjusts your power. Release the button when you're aiming the correct way and have the right amount of power. Finally, after you've released the ball, you can still control it! Move your mouse back and forth to steer, but it will take a little while to get used to, as it slides a lot.

Don't Forget Power-ups!

Both games contain several power-ups that affect the game in various ways. Some do simple things, such as change the size of the ball or the gutters, while others have more creative effects, such as mounting boxing gloves on the sides of the ball.
