Farm Full of Fun
Farm Frenzy is one of those rare games that takes something you normally wouldn't think of as an enjoyable activity - in this case, farm work - and turns it into an incredible amount of fun. Your goal here is, to put it simple, maintain a farm while pulling in lots of money. You do this in the same way actually farmers do this - raise animals and sell goods. Do you have what it takes to be an exceptional farmer?
The game starts out simple and easy but doesn't stay that way for long. Each stage has a goal. In the first stage, your goal is to collect a certain number of eggs from your geese. Of course, you must keep the geese alive by giving them a constant supply of grass to eat. To grow grass, just pour some water on the ground and watch as that ugly brown dirt changes to a nice green patch of delicious goose food. After a while, you'll have to refill your well, and that will cost money. That's just part of the cycle, however. Grow some grass to feed the geese, who will then lay eggs. Sell those eggs at the market so that you'll have enough money to refill your well and grow more grass! It's an endless job, but one that can be very fun, and that's thanks in itself.
Of course, life as a farmer isn't always that easy. One of the first biggest problems that you'll face is bears - yes, bears! - who will drop seemingly out of nowhere and proceed to throw your animals off screen, where they'll be gone forever. However, bears can be a blessing in disguise if you act fast. If you click on the bear repeatedly with your mouse, you'll seal it in a cage. You can then ship it off to the market, where you can sell it!
It's a Tough Industry
Farm fresh eggs won't always cut the mustard. Pretty soon you'll have to up your game and start creating new and better products. One of the first things that you'll have to invest in is an egg solids factory, where you'll produce egg solids that will fetch a higher price than just normal eggs. Of course, building the factory will cost money, but it's all going towards a better financial future.
What I've described is simply the beginning of a deep, complex game. You'll eventually start building different factories that produce different goods, as well as maintain several different animals. You wouldn't think a farm simulator would be this fun, but it definitely is.
Pick Up Your Pitchfork
You won't actual be bailing hay, but I don't think you can call yourself a farmer if you don't have a pitchfork. It might even be against the law. Farm Frenzy is a fantastic game and a breath of fresh country air in an industry stagnate with hidden objects games and Diner Dash knock-offs. If you're looking to take your skills to the next level, I can think of no better opportunity than Farm Frenzy.
