Flying the Friendly Skies
While it can be pretty exciting to fly around the world and visit a variety of exotic locales, the actual experience on the airplane may not be as pleasant. The seats can be a little cramped and it's difficult to catch a few Z's. For this reason, it is the job of the flight attendant to make the best of the situation and provide for the best flying experience possible.
When Starlink Airlines went under, Emma wasn't really sure what to do with her life. Feeling a little lost, she suddenly received a call one day from the new owner of Starlink Airlines. She was offered a new position back as the flight attendant with the airline, because the new owner was told that Emma was the best flight attendant the company has ever had. Jumping at the chance, Emma now finds herself back among the friendly skies, fulfilling the needs of all those frequent flyers.
And you're not going to be restricted to domestic flights either. Right away, you will be given the option to choose between the different regions where Starlink Airlines flies. Are you going to visit romantic Europe? Perhaps travel around the wonderful continent of Africa? Maybe Asia and Oceania are more your cup of tea. The choice is yours.
Care For a Cup of Coffee?
Tending to the needs of the flyers is quite the varied experience. The in-game tutorial will walk you through every step of the way, but some of the tasks that you may encounter along the way include:
- Getting a cup of coffee
- Preparing a hamburger
- Removing the trash and placing it in the right container
- Providing pillows and blankets
- Preparing for turbulence
- Placing lost children back in their seats
The list goes on and on. You'd be surprised how many things that flight attendants need to do over the course of a flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo. In order to find out what a customer needs from you, click on the speech bubble as it appears. This will exchange the request bubble with an image of what the customer desires. If the bubble turns pink, it means that the flyer is getting a little upset. When it turns red, they are getting quite angry.
Being Pulled in Every Which Direction
So, how can you best manage the needs of all these flyers all at the same time? One of the best ways to deal with being pulled in every direction is to focus your attention on only a handful of tasks at a time. You do not need to click on the request bubble as soon as it appears. It is better to deal with the outstanding tasks first before attending to new requests.
Furthermore, when the game first starts, Emma is only able to handle two items on her tray at a time. This means that you can have two cups of coffee on the tray, serving two customers in a single trip. Later on, you will earn the right to upgrade Emma's tray to handle more items. Carry multiple items at the same time to be more efficient.
