Packed with Peril

If you've ever stepped into an arcade in the 80s, you've surely encountered those fantastically simple -- yet ridiculous addictive -- shoot-em-up games that would have you side-scrolling to greatness. They were fantastic because the controls were easy to pick up, typically only composed of one or two buttons. Relive those intuitive days and have a blast with Heavy Weapon Deluxe.

Take the helm of a high-tech tank as it progresses through some rather dangerous lands. The vehicle will automatically make its way across the stage, so you only need to focus on the bombardment coming from all the aircraft and trucks that stand in your way. This is no small task, but you are no small tank! All of the controls are mapped to your computer mouse, as you aim your reticule around the screen, blowing up the competition with powerful rockets, missiles, and even lasers!

There's lots of variety to be enjoyed, with 19 action-packed missions capped off by 10 unique (and huge) boss opponents, like the more than adequately equipped battleship. The action is absolutely incredible and the graphics have been beautifully designed. Heavy Weapon Deluxe is a complete arcade shoot 'em up title that is wicked fun.

Bring out the Big Guns

You wouldn't want to bring a knife to a gun fight, so why bring just a pistol to a battle that involves huge cannons? Don't worry, as your tank gets equipped with more and more powerful artillery as you progress through the game's 19 stages. There are six different weapon banks, each of which comes with three different upgrade levels. Heat-seeking missiles lock on to enemy aircraft, lasers cut through them... imagine having all weaponry at your disposal. Yes, it is that much fun.

Hit 'Em with a Nuke

Just regular cannons aren't even enough to destroy the Communist regime in this game! Sometimes, a white supply plane will fly overhead and provide you with extra goodies, like a spread-gun variant, additional shields, or -- perhaps best of all -- nuclear weapons. In the top left corner of your screen, you will see how many nukes you have in hand, depicted as a series of red "radiation" icons. To deploy a nuclear weapon, simply click on your right mouse button. The massive explosion will wipe out all of the enemies on the screen.

Heart-Racing Arcade Action at its Best

The arcade action in Heavy Weapon Deluxe is second to none, upgrading your weapons with mass destruction, nuking the opposition into oblivion. If you're in the mood for a quick release of adrenaline and love shoot 'em up style games, you really can't go wrong by picking up this bad boy. Engage in battle and blow away the competition!
