All the fans of haute couture in the audience had better listen up, because a whole new fashion adventure is coming your way. If you're the kind of person who enjoyed dressing up dolls and working with different kinds of clothing as a young child, then Jojo's Fashion Show 2: Las Cruces will be right up your alley.
Just like the original Fashion Show game, you will be presented with models who need new outfits before they can head out onto the runway. Our good friend Jojo is back on the scene again, this time being joined by her daughter Rosalind. They each have slightly different tastes in clothing, so it's up to you as the aspiring fashionista to find the best outfits for the job.
More Styles, More Clothes, More Models
The main focus of your runway adventure will take place in the Career Mode. It is here that you will fight against the clock, trying to create the best outfits from your limited resources in the fastest time possible. Expanding on the previous game's framework, this time you get treated to more supermodels, including male models!
For each stage along the way, you will be presented with a trio of models, each of whom will have a designation floating above their respective heads. This single word of description is meant to point you in the correct area of fashion, whether it be clothes inspired by Bollywood or those more appropriate for the Sockhop crowd. Remember, you only have so many tops and bottoms to use, so distribute them as you best see fit.
These clothes can be selected from the rack located near the bottom of the screen. Choose the best top, the most suitable bottom, and a good pair of shoes for each and every model. If you see Bollywood above her head, you may want to ditch the Converse sneakers in favor of something a little more glamorous. By the same accord, sporty types might not do so well with high heels and a full-length dress.
All the new clothing choices will have you scratching your head and working your creativity to the utmost. Will you be able to put together the right look and wow all the judges?
Casual Dress-Up For Your Catalog
Even fashionistas involved in the fast-paced world of classy runways need to slow down from time to time. For those moments, you can have a look at the Dress-Up mode. Here, you are not bound by the limitations of time, so you can take as long as you'd like to put together the perfect outfits. When you are done, take a snapshot and store the idea away in your catalog for later viewing. Fashion designers need portfolios, after all.
With eye-catching graphics, instant gratification, and an avenue for you to express your creative side, Jojo's Fashion Show 2: Las Cruces does everything that its predecessor does and then some. Adding little touches here and there certainly make this game worth the purchase.
