Oh, I will.
Everyone loves card games. They're simple, fun, and easy to get into. They can be as deep and strategic as a game of chess and as rich and rewarding as a game of checkers. At the top of all of these great games is solitaire, a game that offers the best in cards with one added benefit: you can enjoy all by your lonesome. Since it's creation, dozens - possibly even hundreds - of variations of the famous single player game have come to fruition. Fifteen of the best games are showcased here in Hotel Solitaire. This is the solitaire game that enthusiasts have been waiting for. There are plenty of games out there that offer there own take on it, but this product really takes the cake in terms of sheer content.
Choose Your Style
Each of the twenty floors has five rooms, with each room showcasing a game of solitaire. You can tell what the room has to offer by the color of the door. You must beat every room on a given floor in order to advance upwards. Here are some of the games that you can look forward to:
- Higher Lower: You have three waste piles, all facing up. You can remove any card from the game that is either one higher or one lower than the top card in one of the waste piles. Once you remove that card, it goes to the top of the waste pile. If you cannot remove any cards, you get three new cards from the stock pile. What's fun about higher lower is that it's really easy to get a chain going and remove a lot of cards at once.
- Match Pairs: Out of all the modes, this is probably the easiest mode to learn. You clear the table by matching cards. You can match any cards you see, whether they're in play or in the stock piles. Make sure you match as many cards in play as you can, because you may need the stock pile cards later on in the game.
A World of Cards
I have talked about two variations in a game that offers dozens. Aside from all of the different modes of play in the main hotel mode, there are also several things to do in the Casino, Recreation room, and the Terrace. Hotel Solitaire is a must-have game for any fan of cards, period. It will easily satisfy the casual player and there's so much to do here that even the most hardcore gamer won't get bored.
