Delicious Jigsaws
What's better than a good, old fashioned, quality fun jigsaw puzzle? Well, two things: jigsaw puzzles on your computer and desserts! Now, if only someone out there would go and combine those two wonderful things, I would be set for life. What's this? Somebody did exactly that?
The mere fact that Super Jigsaw Puzzle Desserts exists is enough for some people to be able to die happy. If you want to, you can now piece together classic cardboard puzzles in a digital format while staring at delicious pies and cakes. And honestly, who hasn't always longed to do that?
In all honesty, this title is just another great game from the folks who do these types of games best. They've covered a whole multitude of subjects including animals, butterflies, holidays, and nature, and many, many more. Now they've covered that little after dinner treat and I'm thinking of filing a lawsuit against them for making want sweets so much. Don't they know we have an obesity epidemic? These treats look almost too good.
Wide Range of Customization
If you're new to the franchise, prepare to be blown away at all the options available. You wouldn't think that jigsaw games would need a lot of options, but the developers behind the series went above and beyond to make sure that their game is the definitive game of that type available on the market. I'm not sure if I believe in jigsaw heaven, but if it does exist, I would imagine it be something like these products.
The options begin with shape. You can choose for the pieces to have a more traditional shape or you can make them completely square. I know that may sound a little boring at first, but if you think about how much harder it makes the game, it makes perfect sense.
You can set the skew of the fragments to none, medium, or high. This will warp them accordingly, making them more unique and also affecting the difficulty. Not the most important feature, no, but it still improves the experience.
You can set rotation to on or off. When on, this increases the challenge dramatically. Tap space bar to rotate the fragments. Only serious veterans will want to toy with this option.
Finally, the most impressive ability is the ability to alter the number of pieces in a puzzle. This doesn't sound all that special, I know, but the sheer scope of it is amazing. You can shrink puzzles down to four easy fragments or crank the difficulty up by having well over a thousand. Not all puzzles can have that many pieces, but the ones that can will give you hours of entertainment.
The Best at What They Do
Possibly the best thing about these titles is that you know exactly what to expect. I'll admit that I scoffed when I originally heard of a jigsaw puzzle game, but I was immediately impressed by the dedication and care that when into these titles and find myself playing them more than I would like to admit. Puzzles have always been the ultimate way to wind down after a long day and that much hasn't changed. There's a lot of fun to be had here.
