Return The Powerful Relic

You've to be careful when you visit cultures other than your own, because you may not know what you're getting yourself into. That's exactly what happened to the adventurer in Azkend. After he and his archaeological team took an expedition through Far Asia, they returned with a mysterious relic of unknown power. As it turns out, this relic is cursed and has unleashed all sorts of mayhem upon the lives of the explorers. It is now up to you to venture back into the land you traveled to so long ago, returning the relic back to its rightful place in history.

In order to get back to this very special location, you'll need to retrace your steps through the storied temples, mystic mountains, and icy bridges, venturing through countless exotic locations and being exposed to unknown mysticism. Will you remember? Will you be able to return the relic to where it belongs?

The Longer The Chain...

There will be several stages to your journey through the Far Asian mountains. At each of these stages, you will be presented with a unique grid of icons and relics, and your goal is to string together as many identical items as you can. When you create a chain of three or more, the tiles beneath these icons will turn blue. Your ultimate objective is to turn the entire field blue and only then can proceed to the next step on your expedition.

To form a chain of relics, you simply click with your left mouse button, and then hold the button as you hover over adjacent relics of the same type. The minimum number required is three before the relics are removed from the screen and the tiles beneath them transform to blue. However, if you manage to string together longer chains of relics, a surprise bonus may await you. For example, lightning may strike from the sky, miraculously removing relics that you need to clear anyways! Try to get chains of 12 or more for even more amazing feats.

Eight Unique Talismans

As you progress through the game, you will have the opportunity to unlock one of eight unique talismans. Once they are unlocked, they will be added to your arsenal of relics. Typically, when you string together four or more of these advanced talismans, they will unleash a special ability. Some may shatter select relics from your screen, for example, whereas others may cause an explosion that clears relics in the immediate vicinity. As before, the longer the chain, the more powerful the effect.

Don't worry. As you unlock each talisman, the in-game help will describe the talisman to you and tell you exactly what abilities it holds. The game will also give you an opportunity to take the talisman for a trial run, so to speak, so that you can experience its effects first hand.

With a stunning storyline and a richly rewarding scheme that supplies you with unique talismans, it's obvious that Azkend will keep you entertained for hours on end. This has got to be one of the most addicting puzzle games on the market today, drawing you further and further into Far Asia as you attempt to locate the Temple of Time and return the cursed relic that you stole so many years ago. Tread with caution... but with a smile too.
