It's a Christmas Miracle!
Just in time for the holidays, Nevosoft brings you a real whopper of a gift: Christmasville. Not only is the game appropriately themed, it also happens to be a fantastic game; one of the best I've played in recent memory.
You play the role of Arthur Knight, an exceptional private investigator. You've solved many difficult cases, but you've never had one quite like this. One winter night, a strange, hairy client rolls into your office. After a few questions, it becomes apparent who this mysterious client is: the abominable snowman! You're shocked! A yeti is standing in your office! But it just gets stranger from there. He tells you that jolly ol' Saint Nick himself, Santa Claus, has gone missing. Christmas is in serious jeopardy and you're needed to help set things straight.
The wonderful and charming artwork is the first thing that grabbed me. After experiencing the hilarious dialogue and entertaining story, I was completely absorbed. Not too many games make me laugh out loud, but I found myself chuckling quite a bit as I was playing. At certain parts of the conversation, you can even pick your character's response. While the difference choices won't necessarily change the flow of the game, each one will trigger different dialogue, making this a product worth playing through more than once, if only to read all the humorous conversations.

After a little coercing by the abominable snowman and a somewhat-hostile reindeer, your character of Arthur Knight eventually starts to come around and believe what he's being told. You're tracking down Santa Claus. It's only fitting that a private investigator game allow you to search for clues and that's exactly what happens here. Christmasville is a hidden objects game and an exceptional one to boot. While all of the gameplay revolves around searching, the actual objectives switch around a bit. Some levels will have you straight out looking for a list of items, while others will have you hunting based on an item's outline. And of course, what hidden objects game would be complete without a few "spot the differences" stages thrown in for good measure?
Hidden objects games make up a hefty portion of the market, so at times it's hard to wade through all the mediocre titles. That being said, this product is definitely a diamond in the rough. The gameplay, while not entirely original, is as good as it gets and the funny story and great theme just serve to make it a classic.

Christmasville is a terrific game, plain and simple. It features addictive gameplay, an enjoyable story, and a wonderful cast of characters, all with hilarious dialogue. The text gets a little choppy at parts, because it was made by a team of Russian game developers, but the humor shines through regardless. A lot of love and care went into Christmasville and it shows. If you're having trouble finding a present for a computer game fan, you just found the ultimate stocking stuffer.
