Albert Has Done It Again

The first time we were introduced to the Clumsys, we were introduced to Grandpa Albert's Time Machine. Tim and 19 of his friends got lost in time and it was up to old man Albert to retrieve them. This time around, it's Grandpa who has gotten himself in trouble and it's up to his daughter Helen to save the day. Or all of history, as the case turns out!

The elder Clumsy decided to take a journey back to prehistoric times so that he could see such magnificent creatures as the dinosaurs in person. Unfortunately, he left more than footsteps and took more than photographs; he returned back to the present day with a dead prehistoric butterfly!

The butterfly effect kicked in and it had wide-reaching effects throughout human history. Rather than let Albert mess it all up again, Helen has decided to take on the task. Go back in time, right the wrongs, and repair the butterfly effect damage.

Time for Another Grand Adventure

Hopping into Albert's time machine, Helen has the opportunity to visit many momentous occasions in human history. The focus is on innovation, so it's during grand junctions that Helen will find herself. Surrounded by gorgeous illustrations and historically accurate depictions, you can make things right again.

For instance, one of the first missions will send you to Alexander Fleming's laboratory in 1928. This was the main that invented penicillin and changed the face of medicine forever. In his lab, you'll seek out some items that may help with the repair of the lab, giving Fleming the chance to discover penicillin.

After that, you can go to 1888 England to fix the invention of the first moving picture machine, to 1877 and the home of Thomas Edison for the creation of the first phonograph, and so many other great moments in human history.

Reinventing the Great Inventions

Rather than finding a series of haphazard items that seemingly have no direct purpose or relevance, this game helps you find objects that can be used as part of the invention process.

For instance, visiting the Cabinet of Louie Le Prince for the invention of the first movie projector, you'll have to take the time to find a rudimentary shutter and a proper lamp, as well as create one of the first film strips. Some of these are out in the open, but you may have to look within the drawers and cabinetry to find other parts. Combine them all and allow for the world's introduction to the moving picture.

A Fun and Productive History Lesson

An absolutely epic adventure that will take you across centuries of human invention, this second installment in the Clumsys franchise has much to offer. The visuals are a positive treat, the hidden objects list is depicted in pictures rather than words, and the creative storytelling is fantastic too.

Learning about the history of human invention is so much more interesting when you are actively engaged in the process and this game fulfills this philosophy in spades. There's no denying it: Thomas Edison would be proud of what this game offers.
