Fans of Diner Dash will simply drool over this game, as it retains the same mechanics - and more importantly, the charm - of the beloved classic. As Emily, you'll travel the land, opening restaurants here and there with hopes of someday opening one in the big city. It's up to you to help her see her dream through to the end! It may sound daunting, but don't sweat it, because it's fun!

Order Up

It's time to prove your worth in the restaurant business. Your tasks break down like this: serve the customer, take their money, clean up after them. These are all extremely vital and one can't be done without the other. The customer won't sit down if the table is filthy and they won't pay you unless you give them their food. And of course, you can't make money if they don't pay you! Unless you want to end up in a life of crime, you better remember these fundamentals of business.

Fortunately for you, all of these tasks can be accomplished with a simple click of the mouse. Simply click on the item in question to perform a certain task, i.e. click on the cappuccino machine to make a cup, click on the customer to serve them, click the register to take their money, etc. It's a very simple system and works extremely well. It all boils down to how fast you can be with the mouse. As you get further into the game, it becomes necessary to start queuing things up. Simply click on several objects in a row and Emily will interact with those objects in the order that you clicked them.

As any fan of Diner Dash will attest to, this formula is extremely fun. You'll have to be quick both with your eyes and the mouse and it can become pretty challenging pretty fast.

Upgrades

As you progress more in the game, you'll unlock various things that will make your business either easier to run or more successful, usually both. For example, the first thing that you'll unlock is an extra table for people to sit at, which will in turn allow more customers to dine at your place at the same time. You'll unlock several things and usually unlock something really good once you complete a restaurant.

Unlockable items really add a sense of depth to the game and really help to feel that you're making it in the food business. It's very motivating to see all of the improvements that you've accrued over the course of your career.

Run Emily Run

All of the graphics and animations in Delicious are simple, yet charming and effective. Customers will spoon food into theirs mouth while Emily runs around the diner, slingin' orders and bussing tables.

The music is catchy as well and will certainly keep you tapping your toes as you play.
