So you think know it all and "get" people? Known for your vast knowledge and sure-fire answers, you always seem to know the common person's answers to any question. If so, don't waste your time on boring conversation. Jump right into 'Family Feud' download version and find out exactly how good you really are! The game is based on the original TV show that celebrated family values by filling your local airtime with screaming, jumping, squealing teams of happy people! Winners in fact! No real losers, the consolation prize is a chance to share in one universal common language: laughter.
This game simulates that exact enthusiasm. Placing you at the forefront of your game, you are asked to guess an answer to what the 'survey' believes is the most common response to a question. Get it right and you are celebrated with a real life 'audience track' exalting your win. Get it wrong and hope that the other team does even worse! But don't let the 'buzzer' get you down. There is always another round to launch you toward game success!
The Game Basics
When you first begin the game, you are presented with two play choices:
- Play Solo
- Play with a Team
Playing solo matches you head-to-head with the 'machine'. To win, you must beat the average number of points. Guess the number one answers to 'the survey questions' and watch your score grow!
Choosing 'team mode' requires you to create teams. You are given exactly 20 seconds to think of your answer and type it in. Yes. 20 seconds is enough time to ponder, but perhaps not enough time for one-finger typists. If you want to win, you'd better cultivate the art of thinking fast on your feet and quick on your hands. In any case, the right answer gives you the opportunity for your team to dominate the play or if you are uncomfortable with the question, you can force the your opponents to play first. The wrong answer is rewarded by the irritating buzz of the 'win-lose detector'. It's just like playing baseball: three strikes and you're out. Three wrong answers and your team automatically yields to the other team. Who said gathering around the PC with friends wasn't fun!
How to Play: Tips and Tricks
The most enticing part of playing 'Family Feud' is the ability to go in and 'steal a win'. If your opponents answer all the survey questions except for the top-rated answers; and if they suffer 3 strikes against them, then they are forced to forfeit their opportunity to you. Be bold and be confident for therein lies your chance. Like a thief in the night, you can slide in; type out an answer that is more popular on the survey list; win the round and collect even more points for your side. There is nothing that will leave you more than just a little 'smug' having experienced that strategy!
In the event that you feel that you cannot answer a particular survey question, you may click 'new game'. Sometimes, questions may be particular to a specific region or subject that you no nothing about. Don't worry though because either you can learn from it or find another option.
Family Feud is one of those rare games that get both your mind working and your heart pumping. With the commentator's voice echoing such phrases as: 'I like that answer' and 'good answer family #1', you'll never feel completely alone! Great entertainment alone or with friends.
