It's Time to Play the Feud!
Game shows have always been a massive part of our culture. Games like The Newlywed Game are entertaining because they help new couples bond. Shows like Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire force you to put yourself to the test and see just how smart you really are. But there has never been a game show that brings a family closer together like Family Feud. The show has been around for years and has always served as fun, wholesome entertainment.
Instead of standard trivia questions, contestants would be forced to guess answers based on popularity. As the show's host would always say: "We surveyed 100 people...", and then it would be up to the contestant to choose the top answers for that question.
It's definitely a different spin on the standard trivia games. And now it's on your home computer!
This Ain't Your Daddy's Feud
This is the Hollywood Edition of Family Feud. You like movies and television and celebrities, right? Well you better bring your A-game, because these questions will have you racking all of the pop culture centers of your brain as you root for answers about E.T., John Travolta, and the celebrity lifestyle.
For those uneducated in the ways of the feud (if there are any of you our there), let me give you a quick rundown of how it works.
In each round, you're presented with a "question" (I put question in quotes because it's not really a question in the traditional sense of the word). This question will be something like "Name five kitchen appliances you can't live without." 100 people will have been poled, an your task is to guess what the most popular responses were. There can be up to eight answers to each question. You get points based on the number of people who choice each response.
The first two rounds are normal rounds, while the third round is worth double the points and the fourth round will net you triple points. All rounds are only one question each.
Fast Money
The winning team (if you're playing by yourself, you go up against an average score) will move onto the fast money round. The mechanics here are the same; 100 people poled, yadda yadda. You'll get 50 seconds and you will quickly go through five questions, giving one response to each. Once you've answered all, your score will be tallied. Then you'll get to go again, choosing different responses. If you're playing with multiple people, you'll switch off in between rounds. If your overall score exceeds 200 points, you win the fast money round and will receive 20,000 bonus points.
An Old Favorite
Family Feud has been around for ages and has seen various incarnations in countless countries. Everybody loves it, plain and simple. And the only thing more fun than watching it is playing it. So unless you've been living in a cave on Mars for your whole life, I can't imagine that you haven't seen Family Feud, and if you've seen it, then you just have to play it!
