Are You Ready, Rookie?
Miss Chase is the newest detective to join the force, but that doesn't mean that she'll have the opportunity to go through a lengthy training and orientation process. There are no sessions to get her accustomed to their practices and procedures, no training manual to get her up to speed. If you want to keep up with the overloaded workload of the precinct, you'll want to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
First thing's first, of course. Detective Carrie Chase needs to get her office in order so that she can handle any case that happens to pass through her desk. As it turns out, she's replacing another detective who happened to get himself a residence at the morgue. He's ice-cold with a toe tag and I'm thinking that Chase doesn't want to face the same fate.
Enlisting Your Gumshoe Instincts
The training process for Detective Chase gets off to a hot start as she's receiving baptism by fire. Almost immediately, the Sarge assigns her to a case that may appear to be a simple car accident, but diving a little further into the details, we quickly discover deceit, conspiracy, and guys who will stop at nothing to get ahead.
A serial killer is at large in New York City and it appears that he is targeting the high-end fashion world of the Big Apple. Neil Lane, an up-and-coming fashion designer, is only the first of many victims and his car wrapping around a pole is only the beginning. You will need to put on your investigative cap and keep a keen eye out for clues if you want to solve this case and bring the brutal criminal to justice.
Opening the Toolbox for Assistance
Navigating through a thrilling set of photo-realistic scenes, Detective Carrie Chase is put on the case of chasing down this serial killer. With each level along the way, you'll see a series of clues that must be unearthed from the rest of the mess. The stapler on the table may not matter, but the bloodied cotton swab next to it could mean the difference between justice and failure.
Initially, you'll have to rely on little more than your own pair of eyes, but you will soon discover a wide range of tools that will populate your inventory. The magnifying glass will let you see the finer details. The fingerprint duster can place certain individuals at the scene of the crime. You even get to use an ultraviolet light to look for traces of human bodily fluid. We're talking blood here, folks. Murder is never a clean and tidy affair.
Well-Dressed, Smooth Criminals
The seek-and-find adventure that places you in the thick of things may surround the realm of haute couture, but this does not mean that it's all about expensive jewelry and martinis with olives in them. The investigative world for this detective is dark and gloomy, but it is wholly thrilling, exciting, and a feast for the senses. We don't want to hear about your personal life. Just get the job done... and try to come out the other side alive and well.
