Five Steps to Love
As a hidden objects game, this title will feel familiar to many people who have dabbled in the casual games market. Even so, it adds an interesting spin with some of its great storytelling. Each stage really means something.
Over the course of the game, Helen will match up ten different couples and each of these "missions" will consist of five individual tasks.
- Client: They say that you can learn more about an individual from their belongings than from themselves. Search through your client's home to get a sense of their hobbies and habits. These can include such characteristics as animal lover, car enthusiast, collector, and scholar.
- Prospects: Looking at a few candidates for your client, peruse their homes and look for a dash of their respective personalities too. After doing so, you must match up your client's traits with the prospects' traits. This way, you can know exactly which person is the best fit for your client.
- Compare: They've got to be a match for a reason. Look at the homes of your client and the proposed match to find some common items. If they both own the same stuff, there's a good chance that they have similar interests!
- Gift: To help spark the relationship, your client should approach his or her new object of affection with a gift. To do this, you may need to collect some special items. For instance, an ethnic mask may need to have its jewels and adornments reattached.
- First Date: You want the connection to kick off on a high note, so make sure that the location of the first date is arranged just so.
The different stages oftentimes provide slightly different hidden objects gameplay styles. Seek out items based on name or shape, look for matching objects across scenes, and place the appropriate items in the right locations.
