Where is the Little Dog
Welcome to Peeking Town; a quiet, boring little place until a dognapping shakes up the whole community!
You are Miss Teri Tale and you just moved here from the hustle and bustle of New York to write a novel in peace. Unfortunately, it's a little too peaceful and your inspiration seems to have stayed in New York. Due to your lack of writing, your publisher isn't giving you your advance and the clock is ticking on your mortgage payment. Things have been better.
Your new neighbors, Abigail and Brandon Kingsley, seem very nice. Abigail invites you over to Jason's birthday party. In a funny moment, Teri writes in her diary: "I guess Jason is her son?"
Jason Amenophis - his full name - is in fact Abigail Kingsley's dog. He's a Purebred Chinese Crested. She loves that dog more than anything, it seems even more so than her husband, the poor guy.
Just when you think that life couldn't get more boring in your new place of residence, things turn upside down. In the dead of the night, there's the sound of glass breaking, followed by some barks and a commotion, and topped of with Abigail screaming at the top of her lungs. Jason Amenophis has been dognapped.
The morning after the dognapping, you get a message from the culprit! He wants you to find out who took Jason or he'll pin it on someone else - someone innocent! You surely don't want this on your conscience, so finding that dog is your top priority! As a bonus, you now have the story for your novel! Your editor already loves the first few chapters! You better find Jason so you can write that ending!
Detective Work
Miss Teri Tale is a hidden objects game, which only makes sense for a detective story. You'll start out gathering supplies in your home office and then you'll set out around Peeking Town gathering clues.
Each stage has numerous items that you must find. These items are written on your trust notepad. Your cell phone will tell you what kind of time limit you're on. Finally, your lucky clovers will give you hints and you can carry up to five clovers at a time.
The stages are exactly what you would expect from a good hidden objects game - cluttered messes. Each level has objects strewn about, frequently hidden inside other objects. What? You didn't think that detective work was easy, did you?
Using a clover will show you the location of a random item by drawing a clover leaf around it. You have a limited number, though, so try to use them somewhat sparingly.
A Heck of a Case
Miss Teri Tale might be a hidden objects game at heart, but it's also so much more than that. The story is well-written and funny and the visuals are spectacular. I challenge anyone to play this game and not immediately fall in love with it. If you're looking for a fun time, you found it here.
