They say that the dog is man's best friend and that may be so, but it's not really the case in today's story. Instead, we learn that the little pup of the canine persuasion happens to be a woman's best friend.

Mr. Biscuits is the name of a delightful little pug and he is the constant companion of one Mrs. Cambridge. The lady does not go anywhere without her finely furred friend, including her annual trip on board the Ocean Pearl cruise ship. Unfortunately, this year's trek did not exactly go as planned.

Cruise Vacation Gone Horribly Wrong

Leading up to the trip on board the Ocean Pearl, Mr. Biscuits had the strangest feeling that there was a shadowed intruder who was visiting their home on several occasions. He never did discover his identity or his motives, but that sinking feeling followed the pug and his owner to their yearly cruise vacation.

Shortly after boarding the boat, Mr. Biscuits followed his new chew toy into the other room and in doing so, he heard a blood-curdling scream from Mrs. Cambridge. She'd been murdered. Who did it? How did they gain access to her? Exactly how did it go down? This is where you, as the hired investigator, come into play.

Solving the Mysterious Murder

Perhaps one of the more exciting hidden objects games of our time, The Case of the Ocean Pearl will have you questioning anyone who had any contact with Mrs. Cambridge after she boarded the cruiseliner. Was it the waiter who served her in the dining room who did it? How about the cruise ship's purser? What did he have to do with the murder?

Navigating through the numerous decks and different rooms on the ship, you will have to collect enough clues, gather enough evidence, and piece the tale back together to discover the true culprit. Don't worry. The trusty Mr. Biscuits will assist you the entire way. Although his owner had been murdered, the dog remains loyal to the bitter end.

Remember that Mrs. Cambridge did not go anywhere without Mr. Biscuits, so he'll be a fantastic resource for some insider information and a little greater insight into the lifestyle of the recently deceased fashionista. I hope you speak "dog".

Upon launching this wonderfully artistic and thrilling tale for the first time you will be given two options. On the one hand, you can go on a heart-thumping, action-packed adventure with the Story Mode. With this option, you will race against the clock to find all the clues you need within a certain allotted length of time. It may be a little more stressful, but the quest may also be a little more rewarding.

If you are looking for a more laid-back Sunday afternoon, however, you can opt for the Relaxed Mode. This is represented by the new demeanor of Mr. Biscuits. Instead of being all business, he'll have an umbrella drink by his side and a pair of shades on his slightly scrunched face. With this mode, there is no clock and no rush. In this way, you can better relax and appreciate all the little intricacies and details of this fantastic game.
