A Billion Dollar Treasure Hunt
An eccentric New York billionaire has passed away, leaving behind a vast fortune that could be given to his rightful heirs. However, being the eccentric guy that he is, this New Yorker has left quite an interesting stipulation in his will. As it turns out, if his family does not find his will within 17 hours, the entirety of his estate will be bestowed upon his lucky cat and dog.
Naturally, the family believes that they are the rightful heirs and thus, they feel that they are more deserving than Fluffy and Fido. So, the family has hired you, a masterful Private Investigator, to find the last will and testament. Should you prove successful, you will earn a gigantic $25 million fee. Not bad for one day's work, wouldn't you say?
Explore New York Landmarks
In the beginning, you don't have very much to follow. The eccentric billionaire leads you to believe that he has hidden his will somewhere in New York City, but the Big Apple is a big place. Your investigation will lead you all over town, from Central Park to Times Square, a New York Deli to the Staten Island Ferry. At each of these locations, you will be provided a list of items that you must find. All in all, there are over two thousand cleverly hidden objects for you to find.
Immersive NYC Locations
The artwork at each stage along the way is simply stunning and you'll be incredibly impressed by the attention to detail. Because of all of this detail, it may be difficult to find every item on your list! That's where the hints come into play. Hints will cost you 7500 points each time you use one. Also, the hint button take time to regenerate, so you will have to wait a few moments between each hint.
Solve Unique Mini-Games to Retrieve Clues
After investigating a number of the 25 amazing New York locations, you will be presented with an opportunity to grab a clue. These clues left behind by the billionaire will lead you closer to the will and thus, one step closer to earning your $25 million fee. Unlocking each clue will require the completion of a unique mini-game. You've got match-3, word search, circle rotation, jigsaw puzzle, a tile swap, and some unique final puzzles. These really help break up the action and keep you captivated throughout the billion dollar adventure.
Secret Items for Added Bonuses
As if the standard list of hidden objects wasn't enough, there are a few bonus items for you to consider in each and every New York location as well. Hidden in each scene is one special secret item (I won't tell you what it is...you have to find it like I did). Should you find all 25 of these secret items hidden throughout the city, you will be rewarded with one million bonus points! This follows in the tradition of the previous Mystery PI Vegas game.
Similarly, there are keys and apples (Big Apple!) in every scene as well. Find all of these and you will unlock two unlimited game modes: Seek & Find, where you have the opportunity to find every item in every location, and Spot the Differences where you have to find 10 differences in each New York location...as an added bonus you can replay any of these modes as much as you want!
Play Again & Again
Even after you solve the case, the adventure does not need to end as you can complete both unlimited modes or replay the NY Fortune a 2nd time with new levels and hidden objects!
I play pretty much every game around and this is one of the most rewarding and addictive hidden object games I've ever played. I think everyone will really enjoy playing and solving the NY Fortune!
