Bounty Awaits You On the High Seas
The tale of Jack the Sharpshooter begins when the expert pirate comes across a cryptic old casket. Curious as to what treasures it may contain and what it all may mean, Jack is sent on an awe-inspiring quest for gold, jewels, and riches. As a pirate, you'll have to arm yourself with some rather unique weapons as well.
The core gameplay in this title presents you with a series of highly detailed scenes and within each of these storied environments, you will given an interesting list of items to find. For example, you may have to search through a cluttered room for a specific sword, an exotic trinket, or a fascinating talisman of unknown origin.
This journey is quite the epic one, because there are over 150 different levels to enjoy, sending you to all sorts of strange and mystical areas. Your quest will be full of magic and riches, but there's also a Cursed Ghost as well. I wonder how the ghost fits into this wondrous tale?
Arrr, Thar She Blows!
As if the fascinating hidden objects gameplay wasn't enough to pique your intrigue, you will also encounter several puzzles that will test your wit. For example, there is one puzzle that lays out a jumbled set of letters and it is up to you to put them in the right order, discerning a secret message to continue your journey.
These mini-games help to break up the action and keep the adventure fresh and exciting. For example, instead of finding specific items within a scene, you may be challenged to discover differences between two seemingly identical scenes. Thankfully, your mouse pointer gets doubled for these particular stages, lining up on the two images so you can compare them directly. I found that using a pan and scan method is best for these areas, starting at the top left and moving your way down the scene like how you would read a book.
