Finishing Your Father's Great Ambition
Growing up, Jane found that her father was always away on this expedition or that, constantly on the hunt for the latest archeological find. It made for an interesting childhood, to be sure, but her father also left his work undone when he didn't come back from one of his adventures one day. It is now up to you, as Jane, to complete the life work of your father. It is up to you to find the mystical land of Shangri-La hidden somewhere in Tibet.
This serves as the background story to a terrific match-three style puzzle game. You'll need to act quickly, as this is a race against the clock, but the mesmerizing graphics and the need to actually utilize some form of strategy puts Tibet Quest ahead of some other titles that may appear similar on the surface. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, because you're in for quite the adventure.
An A-Maze-Ing Journey Through the Himalayas
Unlike some other match-three puzzle games where they may be no particular rhyme or reason as to which set of three jewels you should clear from the board, this journey has a definite direction and you need to adjust your gameplay to reflect this.
On each maze-like layout, you'll find that Jane starts out in the thick of the action. Swap adjacent tiles to form matching rows or columns of three or more to clear a path for Jane to travel. This path is pre-determined, but it is hidden from your immediate view. When a set of matching tiles is formed, you'll either reveal a part of the path or a golden tile. If the path is available to Jane, she will walk on it. The goal is to reveal the entire path to our protagonist so that she can reach the final destination.
This is why there is a good deal of strategy involved. Removing tiles that are far and away from Jane may not be particularly useful, so it is best to focus on tiles that are more in her close proximity. Alternatively, look for matches near the bottom of the course, as you may cause a cascading chain reaction that reveals more of the chosen path.
Collecting the Necessary Equipment
As you navigate your way through the thick of the Himalayan Mountains, you may encounter some odd obstacles that will obscure Jane's journey through the harsh landscape. This is where a variety of tools and equipment come into the picture.
You can collect an axe, for example, to break any given tile on the screen. If you are having trouble finding a useful match, the axe can clear the way. Also, there are additional tools like the bridge, machete, and key that will be needed to transverse certain areas of the board. By collecting enough of each element, you can use the revealed tool to clear away the brush, build a bridge, or open a locked door.

The mysterious land of Tibet holds many secrets and that's why Jane has chosen to complete the life work of her father. He was adamant on finding the paradise known as Shangri-La, though he never found it. Jane must pick up where her father left off and, thankfully, she's got the help of some Tibetan monks along the way. Brave the mountain and find your paradise.
