Two Games in One

Word game enthusiasts of the world unite! In this truly wonderful title, you'll not only have the opportunity to seek out and find the words hidden in the tapestry of letters, but also to try and decipher a secret phrase spanning all sorts of categories and genres. Weave Words is eerily addicting in its utter simplicity, offering colorful graphics, a catchy soundtrack, and a gameplay mechanic that will literally take you no time to pick up and understand.

In the main "Classic Mode", you will be presented with a honeycomb layout of letters and it is up to you to try to link together these tiles as best you can, forming the longest possible word you can find. Simply click on a series of adjacent letter tiles, double-clicking on the last letter in the series to complete the entry. Alternatively, you can click on the "submit word" button on the left hand side of the screen. Like Scrabble, more difficult-to-use letters will give you more points, as will longer words.

At the top of the screen, you will notice that there is a mystery phrase that you must solve. This part of the game is similar to Wheel of Fortune. The difference is that you can only "guess" letters from the word you formed in step one. Select your formed word carefully, then, and choose an appropriate letter that just may fit into the puzzle.

Rewarding Hard Work

By forming the longest word possible, you not only rack up a whole lot of points that will have you skyrocketing to the top of the High Scores list, but you may also have the opportunity to guess more than one letter at a time! Words that consist of 3-5 letters, 6-7 letters, 8-9 letters, and 10 letters will in turn let you guess 1, 2, 3, or 4 characters from the mystery phrase. Bear in mind that you have a limited number of guesses overall: each time you incorrectly guess a letter or the phrase, you lose one of the balloons on the right side of the screen. Act wisely, and let your lexicon skills come shining through!

Endless Variety, Infinite Replay Value

You will not believe how many categories there are for the mystery phrases. You'll have to tap into every corner of your knowledge base as you are presented with mystery phrases encompassing everything from American presidents and animals to nursery rhymes and Shakespearean plays! Not so familiar with a particular area of expertise? No problem. Head into the options and pick and choose which you would like to attack. Additional phrase packs can be downloaded for free as they become available, in effect giving you endless replay value! It's like getting another free game!

More Ways to Play

In addition to Classic Weave Words, there are two other game modes that you may want to have a look at. In Relax mode, there are no rounds, no timers, no points. Just take your time, forming whatever words happen to stick out at you, solving the puzzle phrase at your leisure. Alternatively, race against the clock in the Time Challenge, getting as many points as you can in the time allotted.
